One of the great things about being single, is the chance for something to happen each and every day. An acquaintance could call me today and ask me to dinner. We could go and have a great time. We could spend all of our time together for the next few weeks and by the end of the month I could be introducing him as my boyfriend. Anyone I meet could be my next great love, maybe even the love of my life! Thinking about life that way sure adds some excitement to my next trip to the grocery store.
Looking at this from a different viewpoint, I have limitless opportunities because I have no one that I am accountable to. Of course, I have some responsibilities in my day to day life (like going to work and making sure the dog has food), but I am the primary person that I am taking care of. I am the primary person that I have to consider when making decisions. If a friend calls and wants to go to the bar on a Wednesday night, I don’t have to feel guilty for leaving my significant other to make his own dinner and entertain himself. If I want a girls night, I can have it without inconveniencing anyone.
